About
Ayelén grew up amidst fig trees in the countryside, the cafés of Buenos Aires and the silence of the mountains in Patagonia. In between, there were travels, experiences and studies — but writing was always there.
Her love of words has been with her since she was a child. She has a quest and an interest in what endures, in the everyday and the beautiful — and it is through writing and literature, amongst other things, that she explores and shares this way of seeing life.
She currently lives in Tuscany, Italy, with her husband and her dog, Piera.
She is writing her first anthology of poems, as well as a semi-autobiographical novel about her childhood in Argentine Patagonia.
She also runs group workshops on poetry writing and creative journaling. She teaches a module on poetic language on a diploma course in Expressive Arts (CREATAR, Mexico), as well as supporting students in their interships.
